ONP makes it very easy to perform calculations on parentheses with brackets and keep the sequence of actions. Both the algorithm for converting conventional (infix) notation to reverse Polish (postfix) notation, as well as the algorithm for calculating the value of the expression given in the ONP are very simple and use the stack.

The reverse Polish notation was developed by the Australian scientist Charles Hamblin as the "reversal" of Jan Łukasiewicz's polemical Polish notation for the needs of IT applications.
